Wheel Offset Calculator
Calculate inner and outer clearance changes when switching to wheels with different width or offset. Useful for checking fitment before buying new wheels.
Formulas
- Width change (mm) = (New width - Old width) × 25.4
- Outer change (mm) = Width change / 2 - (New offset - Old offset)
- Inner change (mm) = Width change / 2 + (New offset - Old offset)
Positive outer change = wheel sticks out further. Positive inner change = wheel sits closer to suspension/brake components.
Offset changes can affect brake caliper clearance, suspension geometry, and handling. These calculations are estimates only. Always verify fitment with a wheel retailer or installer before purchasing.
