Mouse & Keyboard Latency Lab
Test the precision and physical health of your gaming peripherals before you buy them. This tool measures "polling rate," which is how many times per second your mouse reports its position to your PC. It also checks for "switch bounce," a common defect where a single click sends two signals to the computer (double-clicking). Used mechanical keyboards and gaming mice often develop these hardware flaws once their internal copper contacts begin to wear out.
If a gaming mouse advertised at 1000Hz consistently reports below 500Hz, the internal sensor or cable may be damaged. For keyboards, any red highlights in the visualizer indicate "ghosting," where the hardware fails to register multiple keys pressed at once. If you detect double-clicking during the switch test, the mouse button is failing. These devices are difficult to repair, so itβs best to avoid buying hardware that fails these basic checks.
- β Mouse Polling Rate Accuracy (Hz)
- β Mechanical Switch "Double-Clicking"
- β Keyboard N-Key Rollover (NKRO)
- β Input Signal Consistency & Lag
- β Duplicate Key Signal "Ghosting"
Move your mouse continuously in circles to measure the report rate.
Gaming mice should reach 1000Hz+.
Press multiple keys simultaneously. Red keys indicate ghosts (if hardware limited).
Standard USB HID limit is often 6 keys; Gaming keyboards support NKRO (all keys).
Hall Effect Magnetic Switches
Eliminate debounce delay and physical wear with magnetic actuation technology.
